- Payment information: processed by Apple/Google – we do not store full credit card details.
- Ratings and reviews you submit about other users.

- Device information (model, OS version, unique device identifiers).
- App usage data (pages viewed, features used, match history).
- Location data (approximate, for recommending nearby venues and dates).
Information from third parties:
- When you log in through social media (if we add that feature), we may receive basic profile data.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To create and manage your account.
- To match you with compatible users based on your profile preferences.
- To coordinate dates with partner venues (we share only necessary information: preferred time slots and location areas – not your identity with venues until a date is confirmed).
- To process subscriptions and payments.
- To send you service notifications (match updates, date confirmations, reminders).
- To improve our matching algorithms and customer support.
- To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraud.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your data in the following circumstances:
- With venue partners – only after a date is confirmed: we share your first name and the scheduled time/place (no contact details unless you provide them directly at the venue).
- With service providers – hosting, analytics, push notifications (e.g., Firebase). They are bound by confidentiality agreements.
- For legal reasons – if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
- Aggregated or anonymised data – for research or marketing.
5. Your Choices and Rights (PDPA)
Under Malaysian PDPA, you have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data held by us.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Withdraw consent for certain processing (subject to contractual limitations – e.g., withdrawing consent may prevent us from arranging dates).

8. Children's Privacy
Metaxy is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware of such data, we will delete it immediately.
9. Cross-Border Data Transfer
Your data may be processed on servers located outside Malaysia (e.g., cloud service providers). By using Metaxy, you consent to such transfer, provided that adequate safeguards are in place.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
